Grief Recovery is a series
of meetings held biannually at the Piqua YWCA and is made available
at no charge to anyone who has experienced a loss due to a death.
Many people have shared how it has helped them through a difficult
time in their lives.
Death can cause so many feelings and emotions to surface, that some
people wonder if they are still emotionally sane. It is during
the Grief Recovery meetings that those experiencing grief can learn
about grief and all its aspects. Some of the topics that are
discussed are; What makes it so difficult to grieve?; A look at
problems in grief; Self esteem: and Learning how to be good to
yourself.
Jamieson and Yannucci Funeral Home sponsors theses meetings.
The sessions are facilitated by Kelly Larger, a part of the lay
ministry team of the Upper Valley Community Church congregation.
You can contact Kelly through the church at 937-778-8822 to find out
when the next series will be starting. |
